Pregnancy, Postpartum, Pediatrics, and Placenta Preparation

Holistic Support for Fertility, Birth, and Beyond
As a mother of two - one conceived naturally and one through IVF - I have a deep passion for supporting women, men, and babies through the sacred continuum of fertility, conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

This time of life involves profound physical and emotional transformation. Supporting the parents’ health before conception, and tending to the mother’s vitality during and after pregnancy, increases fertility, improves pregnancy outcomes, and nourishes both mother and child long-term.

Regenerative Health and Chinese Medicine are powerful tools for fertility and reproductive health. They can enhance libido, sperm count, motility, and morphology in men; and in women, regulate menstrual cycles, relieve PMS, reverse PCOS, reduce fibroids, and improve uterine blood flow - naturally increasing conception and IVF success rates.

During pregnancy and postpartum, acupuncture and herbs may help alleviate morning sickness, back or sciatic pain, and anxiety; turn breech babies; induce labor when appropriate; ease mastitis; and support healthy lactation.

Craniosacral Therapy helps release physical and emotional restrictions around the womb, pelvis, and hormonal centers, supporting fertility and connection. It can also harmonize the rhythms of mother and baby during pregnancy for deep communication and bonding.

Pediatric Care

Babies and children respond beautifully to gentle healing modalities such as Craniosacral Therapy, Herbal therapy, and Chinese Medicine techniques. These approaches safely address issues ranging from colic and sleep challenges to eczema and respiratory imbalance, often reducing the need for pharmaceuticals.

Treatments may include Infant Tuina massage, Shonishin (a non-needle Japanese pediatric technique using gentle tools), cupping, or moxibustion. Pediatric acupuncture, when used, is extremely light and brief. Herbal support is given in microdoses or through breast milk.

These therapies help balance the child’s constitution, strengthen immunity, and support healthy physical and emotional development.

Placenta Preparation

A Traditional Medicine for Postpartum Recovery
Placenta has long been revered in Chinese Medicine as a deeply restorative tonic. It nourishes Qi and Blood, balances hormones, enhances milk production, replenishes iron, and supports emotional health and vitality after childbirth.

Almost every mammal ingests their own placenta after birth. Scientific studies show that placenta is extremely nutrient rich--high in iron, protein, vitamins, and minerals, and the mother's own natural hormones, including :

Prolactin, promotes lactation
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone,  boosts energy and helps manage stress
Cortisone,  combats stress, reduces inflammation and pain
Interferon,  stimulates the immune system, is antiviral, and fights tumors
Oxytocin, facilitates breastfeeding and bonding
Hemoglobin, replenishes iron and transports oxygen to the cells
Gamma globulin, boosts immune system to protect against postpartum infections
Urokinase Inhibiting Factor and Factor XIII, stops bleeding and helps wound healing

Encapsulation Process:
After gentle cleansing and steaming with herbs, the placenta is dehydrated, powdered, and placed into capsules. These are typically taken several times daily in the early postpartum weeks and can be saved for future use. Placenta tinctures or raw preparations may also be made for continued nourishment.
For best results, the placenta should be processed within 48 hours of birth, kept refrigerated or frozen until ready.

I love s
upporting families through every stage of creation, birth, and renewal.
